President of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo says government will come to the aid of the football community in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
All Sporting activities including football season has been suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
After two months, clubs are now feeling the heat and have resorted to seek government financial help through the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Despite been denied the first trench of government support to SMEs, Kujdoe Fiano has revealed that government package for football is on the way and football people will hear good news.
“I have been hinted by a high powered source that Government still has plans for us and that said package is meant for the playing body thus the statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
“Government has so many ways of meeting our needs and the YEA (YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AGENCY) could be a channel that package for the playing body can come from.
“Let’s not forget the MOYS plays a dual role in sports and also the youth sector because the players or athletes are also youth”. He told Oyerepa FM Sports.
