Former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah has revealed playing with Italian legend Roberto Baggio and Pep Guardiola at Brescia was the best time of his career.
Appiah joined the Italian side in 2002 on a season loan deal from Parma and made an instant impact by scoring 8 goals in 31 games.
According to the Ghanaian legend, playing with Roberto Baggio and Pep Guardiola made things simple for him at Brecia.
“I scored 8 goals in the 2002-2003 season with Brescia because when you are playing with Guardiola and Baggio, they make things simple for you.”
“Brescia was the best season in my career because Brescia was a small team and when I joined them we placed sixth in the league. Nobody expected us to do so well. I had the chance to play with Guardiola and Baggio,” Appiah said on Joy FM.
Appiah went on to play for Juventus andĀ Fenerbache where he became an household at both clubs.
