Asante Kotoko central defender Wahab Adams says it remains one of his targets to attain continental glory with the club.
The Porcupine Warriors were once a dominant force in the 70’s and 80’s but have not recorded much success in recent times.
Asante Kotoko won the Africa Cup of Champions Clubs (now CAF Champions League) in 1973 & 1982 but have failed to emulate this feat ever since.
They have lost finals in CAF inter-club competitions in 1993, 2002 and 2004 and have failed to get into the semi finals of the CAF club competitions in the last 15 years.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Light FM, Wahab Adams said “I haven’t met my target yet but believe I will surely achieve it. Winning the CAF Champions League for the Porcupine club. Al Ahly and others club have made their mark but I am certain we will outwit them”.
Adams formerly played for Aduana Stars before switching to the camp of Kotoko
