German-born Ghana international Kevin- Prince Boateng says he regrets how his stint with the Black Stars ended and is eyeing a return to the senior national team.
The Besiktas midfielder joined his brother, Jerome Boateng on an Instagram Live Chat on Friday where he touched on a wide range of issues.
Kevin Prince Boateng was persuaded to switch allegiance to Ghana prior to the 2010 FIFA world cup.
Right from there, the player has had a love-hate relationship with national team handlers and Ghanaians in general with many questioning his commitment.
After a sour episode at Ghana’s poor World Cup showing in 2014, he has not featured for the national team again.
Opinions have been divided across board as to whether the player is needed back in the team, but in an Instagram Chat with his brother Jerome-who opted to play for Germany- the 33 year old is hoping to for one more chance to make things right.
He said “With the national team, I didn’t like the way it ended because they gave me so much. But you never know, maybe I can go back and play one more time again.”
It remains to be seen whether Black Stars Coach Charles Akonnor will take this up and seriously consider extending an invite to him.
