General captain of Ashantigold Robert Dabuo has revealed he is not aware of the club’s decision to slash 20% of their salaries due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
His comments comes after the assistant coach of the club Thomas Duah told Kumasi FM the players and the technical team have agreed to waive 20% of their salaries to the club due to the financial difficulties that has hit the club.
But in an interview with momusnewspaper.com, the general captain revealed he’s not privy to that decision and insisted no one at the club as informed him about the decision.
“I’m not aware of any pay cut” He said.
“If that is the decision of our management team it’s fine, but no one has inform me about it.
” I’m not at Obuasi now, but I think any such news but any such news concerning us as to be communicated to us properly. But no one has inform me.”
Dabuo is one of the longest serving players in the Ashantigold squad despite losing his position to Frank Boateng.
