Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan might have left the big scene in Asia but his good works makes him still relevant in several football discussions.
The former Black Stars striker had a very successful spell from 2011 to 2017 while representing sides like Al Ain (UAE), Shanghai SIPG (China) and Al Ahli (UAE). He last played for Indian Super League side NorthEast United.
Gyan throughout his career has held very impressive scoring records. He is Ghana’s all time-top scorer and also the top scoring African at the FIFA world cup.
The 34 year old, it has been revealed is also the top scoring African in the Asian Champions League. With 20 goals to his name, Asamoah Gyan has four more goals than his closest contender Baghdad Bounedjah (Algeria).
Gyan’s record stands at 20 goals and 4 assists in 32 matches spanning a period of 5 seasons in Asia’s top club competition.
