Chief Executive Officer of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Albert Commey has termed as disappointing and displeasing why some senior players of the club have emabrked on a radio campaign to expose the club for failing to pay salaries.
The CoronaVirus pandemic has hit hard at the football fraternity with almost all activities shutdown as a result.
In Ghana, the Ghana FA has suspended all the football competitions putting clubs in dire financial circumstances.
The development means clubs are struggling to raise monies for their operations which include payment of salaries.
At Eleven Wonders, the club is yet to pay players and other staff their March salaries. This has triggered unease among the playing body with some sharing their struggles in radio interviews.
However, a furious Albert Commey has lambasted the players for acting as such.
In an interview with Kumasi based Silver FM, the experienced administrator management was working around the club to address the situation but he finds it inexplicable why players have resorted to sharing their struggles with the media.
He said “I don’t know why the players used radio stations to discuss their salary arrears. It’s disappointing that certain top players led this act and I’m honestly displeased. If they believe they are on the right path then they should consult the same radio friends for the salary”.
