AshantiGold defender Eric Donkor believes the return of Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan will have a positive impact on the Ghana Premier League especially in terms of attendance at league centers.
The former Liberty Professionals duo have been linked with a sensational return to the local scene in the ongoing transfer window.
Muntari is rumored to be a subject of interest of Accra Hearts of Oak. The former Inter and AC Milan midfielder is currently unattached after leaving Spanish outfit Albacete in 2019.
While Gyan, who is a boyhood Asante Kotoko fan is believed to be considering a move to the Porcupine Warriors.
The 34 year old striker is currently unattached after he was released by Indian Super League side NorthEast United in January.
“To have these great footballers in the league will at least help in bringing fans to stadium because of the name they have in football. I know for sure that, their return will bring back the love, I know people love Muntari and Gyan so they will influence the league positively”
“They have done so well for the country and I believe their return will bring so much excitement into our game” Donkor told Bryt Power Sports in an interview.
