Former Ghana striker Augustine Arhinful has offered his two cents about Hearts of Oak’s recruitment strategy in the ongoing transfer window.
The Phobians have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer market, having already signed Isaac Mensah, Danjuma Kuti, Abednego Tetteh and Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali.
The club is also on the verge of announcing the return of Nuru Sulley according to local media reports.
However, Augustine Arhinful is still not entirely sure Coach Edward Odoom has the right blend of experience and youth to ensure success.
“I have heard Hearts of Oak dominating the headlines because of their player recruitment policy,” he told Asempa FM.
“I have read Nuru Sulley has returned to the club with the addition of Abednego Tetteh and a Nigerien striker. It is all good but you cannot do it without experienced players.
“For me, that is the important thing for the club to do. They should sign experienced players and blend them with the young players. Without that, I don’t think they can be anything meaningful.
“Europeans take time to develop players and you see the difference when they are playing. We should also learn from that and welcome experience players into our local league,” he added.
