Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Clottey has been slapped with a $1,034.34 fine in a latest FIFA ruling for moving to Kotoko in 2015 whilst he was still under contract with Esperance.
In a FIFA decision on Friday, Clottey was handed extra punishment as well as Kotoko for the delay in sorting out the issue.
Clottey has been given a deadline of 17th May to pay the fine.
The statement read as follows:
“Debtor I (Emmanuel Clottey) is ordered to pay a fine of CHF 1,000. The fine is to be paid within 30 days of notification of the present decision.”
Clottey in 2015 signed for Asante Kotoko despite having a contract with the Tunisian giants, leading himself and the Porcupine Warriors into the trouble of FIFA.
