Ex-Ghana international Augustine Arhinful says playing abroad taught him a lot in his career, most especially time-keeping.
The former Black Stars attacker earned a transfer to German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 1993 after excelling for AshGold (the Obuasi Goldfields) and Ghana’s U-20 side the Black Satellites at the African Youth Championship.
Arhinful shared his experience with Accra based Joy FM in an interview.
“When we went into professional football, I realised that there is a lot I didnt know..especially when it comes to time keeping. And so I am somebody that really does not play with time”, he noted
“If you give me a program and we start at 10, I will be there like 9:30 sometimes like one hour before the program…and that has always been me.
“And so just going to play outside should not be the motivation, you should go out there to add something to yourself…and one thing I’ve added is timekeeping” Arhinful concluded.
