Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have expressed their sadness following the death of former club captain Opoku Afriyie.
The legendary Ghanaian striker passed away in Kumasi on on Sunday, 29 March, 2020 aged 75.
Bayie was a prominent member of the Black Stars squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations.
He scored the two goals in the final of that tournament.
Afriyie was also the top scorer of the Ghanaian top-flight league in 1979 and 1981
After hanging up his boots, Opoku took up roles as team manager and welfare officer of the Black Stars.
He was also named team manager of Kotoko in 2003.
