Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris has donated hundreds of hand sanitizers and liquid soaps to the Lamashegu community in the Northern Region to aid in the fight against the fast spreading novel Corona Virus.
The disease has plagued the world, bringing almost every activity to a halt as the focus is centrally fixed on how to stop what the WHO has termed a global pandemic.
There have been over 33,000 deaths and 600,000 confirmed cases worldwide. In Ghana the infection rate keeps rising alarmingly with the figure now set at 141.
The situation has led to governments, agencies and celebrities/icons coming together to put together resources to help curb the spread as experts find a cure to Covid-19.
Black Stars striker Waris is the latest to join the list of benevolent football stars to donate to such a worthy cause.
The footballer took to social media to share the news of his donation which was done under his private organisation known as the Waris Foundation.
