Veteran Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei’s King Faisal future hangs in the balance after the player was ejected from camp by the owner and president of the club Alhaji Gruzah following a heated exchange, FMIG can exclusively report.
A deep throat source told FMIG that Gruzah has vowed never to work Nii Adjei again and this tirade followed the club’s 2-1 defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday.
Nii Adjei who captained King Faisal in the game was brought off on the 79th minute for Haruna Mohammed as King Faisal chased for an equaliser.
The substitution did not sit down well with the player who voiced his disappointment at the technical team.
Gruzah got wind of it and reacted in an angry manner towards the player. His decision is believed to stem out what he describes as the player being indiscipline.
The visibly incensed club owner is alleged to have blamed Nii Adjei for the defeat.
“Daniel Nii Adjei caused our defeat. How can you fight with the technical team during the break. We were leading at the time and things could have been different if not because of what he did.
“You are the captain instead of talking to the players you are rather fighting with the technical team”.
” Nii Adjei will not be part of the team henceforth. He is indiscipline. I have worked with bigger and successful players than him. It’s my club and I will make sure he will not be part of the team.” He told the media after the game.
Footballmadeinghana.com can confirm the player didn’t join the team bus to Kumasi and has handed over his camp kits to the team manager.
