- Eric Ofori Antwi- Medeama SC
The Medeama SC shot stopper kept a second consecutive clean sheet as the Mauves and Yellows secured a point away at King Faisal. Ofori Antwi continues his fine form for the league leaders and gets the nod here for his output.
- Sumaila Larry- Hearts of Oak
The ginger haired defender made his first start in the league for the Phobians and delighted with a performance worthy of praise.
Defensively he was equal to the task against a very potent Inter Allies forward line led by the dreaded Victorien Adebayor. Larry also played his part in the offensive aspect of the team and gets in here as the right full back in our team of the week.
- Fadili Yussif- Legon Cities FC
The Legon Cities full back who can also enjoy a spell as a wing back was in explosive form as he helped his side punish a WAFA side who came into the weekend’s clash on the back of a massive 6-1 win over AshGold.
The 22 year old scored to cap off a spirited performance in a 4-1 win over WAFA; a result that boosts Legon Cities’ survival bid.
- Massahudu Abdallah- Dreams FC
The 25 year old center back was a towering figure at the back as Dreams FC kept an away clean sheet at Bechem United in a goalless stalemate. This was Dreams’ first clean sheet in their last 4 games. His performance also helped his side become only the second team to leave the Fosu Gyeabour Park unscathed this season.
- Habib Mohammed- Asante Kotoko
The Asante Kotoko central defender was handed a call up into the senior national football team for the first time on Tuesday and the 22 year old displayed majestically at the back on Friday to help his side record not just an away win, but also keep a clean sheet. Habib helped silenced the Karela attack led by Diawisie Taylor.
- Desmond Abuga- Inter Allies
20 year old Desmond Abuga bossed the middle for Inter Allies as the Eleven is to One made situations unbearable for the lineup of robust Hearts of Oak midfielders. Abuga’s performance helped Inter allies draw 1-1 with Hearts of Oka eventually.
- Salifu Ibrahim- Eleven Wonders
19 year old Ibrahim Salifu also gets in here as our right winger for his part played as Eleven Wonders edged Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at home to extend their unbeaten run to 5 matches. The teenager put up a performance that eventually won him the Man of the Match Award.
- Mubarak Alhassan- Liberty Professionals
Mubarak Alhassan was the sole bright spot in what as a dull performance for Liberty Professionals The midfielder scored a beautiful solo effort to reduce the deficit for his side as they were vanquished 3-1 by Elmina Sharks.
- Cephas Doku- Legon Cities
Doku was in inspired form as he bagged a brace to help Legon Cities clobber the Academy Boys of WAFA by 4-1. This was the Royals’ first win in 5 league games and Doku was a key figure in this.
- Samuel Armah- Inter Allies
Samuel Armah scored the first and only goal for Inter Allies as they held premier league giants Hearts of Oak to a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.
- Benjamin Tweneboah- Elmina Sharks
The ‘Neymar’ of Elmina scored and assisted as Sharks sank the Scientific Soccer Lads in the Elmina seas. Sharks overpowered their opponents to in 3-1 and Benjamin Tweneboah was at the heart of it. He opened the scoring in the 9th minute and provided the assist for Alhaji Mustapha to double the lead 30 minutes later.
