Exiled Ghanaian international Kevin Prince Boateng has confirmed having a discourse with Black Stars head coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor and believes he is the right man for the job.
At a press conference on Tuesday, C.K Akonnor announced his squad for Ghana’s AFCON double header against Sudan later this month.
During an interaction with the media, the former Black Stars skipper was asked about the situation of Kevin Prince Boateng who has been exiled from the team as punishment for his part in the 2014 world cup debacle.
Akonnor mentioned he spoke to Boateng but the player does not seem interested in returning to the national team.
In a subsequent Twitter engagement, KP Boateng seemed to suggest the Coach’s statement was untruth by replying to a tweet by a journalist named Gary Al Smith that he had been engaged.
His reply of no one tried speaking to me, set the internet in a delirious mood.
No one ever tried talking to me #nottrue

However, Boateng has come out to clarify matters and confirmed speaking to the C.K Akonnor.
“Hi Gary, no journalist ever talked to me!! I spoke to coach Akonnor and I think he is the best man for Ghana right now,we had a great conversation!! We didn’t really speak a lot about me returning to the black stars…,” he posted early Wednesday morning.
