King Faisal’s Samuel Kusi has mentioned that their failure to keep their concentration levels caused their 2-1 defeat to Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League.
The Kumasi based side traveled to Techiman on Match Week 10 to face Eleven Wonders on Friday.
King Faisal were keen to prove a point in their bid to salvage their season and they started the game in brilliant fashion. They took the lead in the first 5 minutes of the game courtesy a strike from Ibrahim Osman.
However; as has been the case throughout this season, King Faisal failed to hold on to the lead. They conceded an equalizer in the closing stages of the first half when Abu Musa Sule struck for the home side.
They subsequently succumbed to a second half pressure from Eleven Wonders and conceded the second goal in the 76th minute. Second half substitute Samuel Boakye scored the goal which eventually decided the match in favor of Eleven Wonders and at King Faisal’s expense.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Samuel Kusi attributed their loss to a lapse in concentration. He however expressed hope that their situation will improve with time.
“Tactically we lost the game due to a lack of concentration; and definitely we are still concentrating on how we will push on, it is not yet over, as time goes on, we will pick up” he said.
The result deepens King Faisal’s woes and diminishes any hopes of survival. They now have 4 points and languish at the bottom spot on the league log.
Samuel Kusi was named as the Man of the Match.
