Head Coach of Dreams FC Abdul Karim Zito says the club is at the receiving end of ‘bad’ officiating in the ongoing season because of its links with the Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku.

Zito’s comments comes on the back of a painful lone margin home loss to Hearts of Oak on Sunday. Kofi Kordzi’s strike broke hearts at the Theatre of Dreams and caused nightmares for the home side.

The defeat to Hearts of Oak was Dreams FC’s third and this adds to their overall record of 3 wins and 1 draw in  games played so far this season. They lie 8th on the league table with 10 points.

Karim Zito believes certain decisions went against them and he claims this is the case because, referees are extremely careful in giving decisions in his side’s favor because of the GFA boss.

A shout for a penalty late in the game was overlooked by referee Eso Doh Morrison and Zito certainly was displeased at this.

“Eric Gawu went ahead with the ball and the player pushed him. I saw a penalty. We are being punched by certain things.

“Because the FA chairman ( Kurt Okraku) was the director of the club. He is no more at the club. He came here as a spectator.” He told the media after the game.

“They should leave us to play our football. I saw a penalty. This has been happening in many of our away games. The referees fear to give the decisions in our favor because they fear they will be accuse of helping the F A chairman’s club. Please they should allow us to play our football. Kurt is for no more with us.”

Zito also stated his charges failed to capitalize on the chances they created in the first half.

“Hearts of Oak is not a small club that you can say you will walk over them. They are big club. We played well. We didn’t take our chances in the first half. We could have score in the first but we wasted many chances.”

Dreams will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Liberty Professionals away from home.
