Hearts of Oak returned to winning to winning ways on Sunday by defeating Dreams FC 1-0 in the week 7 of the Ghana Premier League. A second half strike by Kofi Kordzie sealed the victory for the Phobians.
Hearts of Oak started the game very well and came close to taking the lead but Esso’s free kick hit the cross bar.
The visitors were in total control of the game in the early stage as Daniel Afriyie’s header went wide.
Emmanuel Ocran registered Dreams FC’s first shot on target in the 38th minute saving Emmanuel Ocran’s long drive.
Joseph Esso was denied again by the crossbar after after he delivered a shoot from the left side.
The second half started as it ended in the first half, Hearts of Oak dominated and looked set to break the deadlock
Kofi Kordzi broke the deadlock for Hearts, striking home a perfect shot in the penalty box.
Dreams FCnearly drew level but Ibrahim Issah was denied by the crossbar.
Dreams FC introduced Eric Gawu for Prince Okraku in the 75th minute as they chased an equalizer.
Hearts of Oak despite pressure from the home side resisted the pressure from the home team and maintained their lead till the blast of the final whistle.
