Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has vowed not to risk injured midfielder Mudasiru Salifu after the player aggravated his injury during their clash with Hearts of Oak.
The 19 year old picked up an injury on the 28th minute of the game and was stretchered off for Collins Ameyaw.
The injury was the second he suffered in the space of two weeks after picking up a similar knock against Berekum Chelsea.
Speaking on Mudasiru’s situation, the coach vowed not to risk the player anymore and will give enough time to recover.
” It was very bad because he was having a good game. It’s unfortunate it happened that way.
” The Doctors told us he is fit and can play. We are not going to risk him. We will give him enough time to recover. He is very important to our play.
Asante Kotoko will be without Mudasiru Salifu on Sunday when they come up against Liberty Professional
