The President of the Ghana Football Association has revealed that head coaches of the various national football teams will as part of their role be made to actively engage the media to update them on work being done.
As part of this move, national team coaches will be made to explain to the media and Ghanaians at large, reasons behind inviting players into the national team.
This development will come as refreshing to media men who have questioned motive behind players who are offered callus into the national team.
The media and the footballing public have often warred Coaches for failing to justify why certain players receive invitations at the expense of others. This was a constant theme that played out during the term of the erstwhile Head Coach James Kwesi Appiah.
Responding to a question during a GFA Meet the Press initiative on Monday, the GFA president said “as part of our strategy, every coach will face the media at all times…and that includes the head coach of the Black Stars”
