Richard Attah (GK) – Hearts: Despite losing 2-0 to Asante Kotoko, Attah was stupendous for the Phobians. He rose to the occasion by providing top saves to keep his side in the game. Before Kotoko grabbed the winner from the spot, Attah pulled an incredible save that got all applauding at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Philip Nii Sackey – Olympics: Philip staged an amazing outing for the Wonder Club and grabbed their only goal which became the match winner. He was also voted player of the match.
Habib Mohammed – Kotoko: The partnership between Habib and Wahab rendered Hearts of Oak impotent in the biggest game on the local scene. He was aggressive with his tackles and wasted no time in dealing with danger. He was apt with his task.
Wahab Adam – Kotoko: The Asante Kotoko center back demonstrated huge sense of intelligence at the back and kept the Hearts attackers out of the game. He made some brilliant clearances and stopped several dangerous attacks from Hearts.
Justice Blay – Kotoko: Blay was the toast of both Kotoko and Hearts fans during the Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium. He outjumped his marker to head home Asante Kotoko’s opener and was the beast in midfield for the visitors. He won the MVP as the game for his magnificent display.
Emmanuel Nettey – Hearts: Playing his maiden Super Clash encounter since joining the Oak Family, Nettey did not show signs of nervousness. He was apt with his decisions and very intelligent with the ball. His passing accuracy was second to none on the day.
Daniel Afriyie – Hearts: Afriyie was a thorn in the flesh of the Kotoko defenders but Habib and Wahab kept him in check. For many who watched him for the first time, Afriyie appeared the best player on the Hearts of Oak side. He showed a lot of promise and was stupendous with his attacks.
Gladson Awako – Olympics: Awako was the key figure in midfield for Great Olympics as they recorded a 1-0 win over Inter Allies. He showed leadership and was brilliant with his passing. He was on target twice and controlled the pace of the game to guide Oly to the solitary win.
Zakaria Mugees – Eleven Wonders: He won the Man of the Match after scoring two wonderful goals to give his side a 2-0 win over Karela United.
Emmanuel Ocran – Dreams FC: Ocran was the chief architect of the Dreams FC side despite their defeat to Dwarfs. He was amazing with his tackles, created numerous chances and provided several goal scoring opportunities for their strikers. He was voted the player of the match after the game.
Prince Opoku Agyemang – Medeama SC: Opoku scored the only goal of the game to go e Medeama SC the all-important win over AshGold at the Akoon Park and emerged the player of the mat h as well.
