Liberty Professionals continued their impressive away form by halting WAFA SC’s unbeaten start to the season on Friday.
The Scientific Soccer lads edged the Academy lads 2-1 in a pulsating encounter at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.
The visitors took a 1-0 at half time through Elvis Kyei Baffour who converted from penalty spot after he was brought down in the area.
The hosts fought back in the 71st minute when Substitute Sampson Agyapong scored a brilliant curler to draw his team level.
Just when the game looked destined to end in a draw, Adams Mohammed emerged the match winner for Liberty to ensure they snatched maximum points.
Liberty will travel to face Asante Kotoko on match day 7 while WAFA will look to bounce back against Great Olympics in Accra.
