Karela United secured their first win of the campaign following a hard-fought slim margin victory over Inter Allies.
Goals from Franklin Osei and Ofosu Abega wrapped up the 3 points for the home hard-fought side while Victorien Adebayor scored from a rebound after his initial attempt from the spot was saved.
Hosting the game at their makeshift home at the Tarkwa Akoon Park, Karela went into the encounter in search of their first win ( home win as well).
The home side made their intentions very clear from the onset and were rewarded with an early goal when Franklin Osei put them infront with a fine effort.
Inter Allies rallied themselves into the game and after earning a penalty in the first half, key striker Victorien Adebayor stepped up to effect it.
After his earlier attempt was saved by the Karela goalkeeper Isaac Hagan, Adebayor reacted swiftly to prod the ball into the net for the equaliser.
Back from recess, Karela United unleashed spells of pressure but failed to make it count until the last few minutes when Ofosu Abega nudged one into the net of the away side.
Karela United held on to record a crucial 2-1 win leaving them with 4 points from 3 games played. They now sit 9th on the league log while Inter Allies with just 3 points after 3 games lie 12th on the table.
