Dreams FC’s winning start to the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season suffered a halt as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Legon Cities FC.
Dreams were in high spirits going into the encounter after having won their opening two games.
Legon Cities, on the other hand, had drawn one and lost the other of the two games played before this match.
As the game commenced Dreams FC made a bright start but failed to make it count with the openings they carved. The closest they came towards getting a goal was a shot from Emmanuel Ocran which kissed the crossbar.
Legon Cities FC’s goalkeeper Fatau Dauda had stressed on the need for the side to improve defensively and he backed his talk with some excellent saves.
Legon Cities had chances of their own and will feel hard done by after their penalty appeals in the second half were turned down by the referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea.
The game ended in a stalemate; a result that leaves Dreams FC with 7 points lying 4th on the league table while Legon Cities FC ends up with just 2 points and find themselves occupying the 13th spot on the table.
