A disturbing video has surfaced from Kumasi capturing the moments after a Asante Kotoko supporter was shot by police following the Porcupines’ defeat to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
The gory incident occurred outside the Baba Yara Stadium after some irate fans allegedly gathered to continue their protest of the performance of the referee.
The unlucky fan caught a bullet on his face after a melee ensued with the Police on duty.
Fans could be seen clutching their heads after the gun was fired at the direction of the supporter who was immediately carried in a police ambulance to the Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
His current condition is not yet known but it is believed doctors are doing their best to try and save his life.
The Ghana FA is expected to launch an immediate probe into the matter that could lead to serious repercussions for all guilty parties.
