Ahead of the kickoff of the Division One League season, the Division One League Board in collaboration with Dalex Finance has held a successful Design Thinking Tournament with corporate Ghana to brainstorm about the game for possible avenues of development.
The tournament held on Saturday at the Christ The King Parish which brought on board several corporate personnel was aimed at making football accessible to the non-football community.
Led by the Vice Chairman of the Division One League Board, Kenneth Thompson, who doubles as the CEO of Dalex Finance, the team went through brainstorming sessions and presentations to identify challenges of the DOL and suggest possible remedies for its progress.
The team also engaged the corporate world to demystify the notion of football belonging to specific people to make a case for corporate Ghana to come on board to partner clubs and the league.
Other personalities who participated in the brainstorming exercise include the Vice Chairman of the Division One League Board Jesse Agyepong, CEE of Exceed Travel and Tours Diana Asante, former CEO of Wa All Stars Oduro Nyarko, Vice President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana Maurice Quansah, Financial Expert/Consultant Joseph Jackson, Augustine Ahinful and many others including bankers, market women, students and journalists.
