Ghanaian striker Francis Afriyie has completed a move to Botswana Premier League, side Township Rollers, the club has confirmed. The striker joins from Kenya Premier League side Gor Mahia on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Afriyie had not returned to Gor Mahia since leaving in December to his native Ghana for the holidays.
A statement released by Rollers read:
”Township Rollers Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Ghana-born forward Francis Afriyie.”
”The 24-year-old, who turns 25 on January 18 joins the Blues from current Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia on a two and a half year contract.”
Afriyie scored six goals in 11 appearances for the Kenyan Premier League champions.
The former Bechem United striker has previously featured in Europe for Serbian side Vojvodina and in North America for Mexican side Murcielagos.
