Emmanuel Gyamfi and Prince Opoku registered braces each for Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC respectively as the Ghana Premier League zoomed into the second week of games.
Nigerien star Victorien Adebayor was in a valorous form for Inter Allies, guiding them to a 2-1 win over Bechem United.

1. Shaibu Ganiyu (GK) – Liberty Professionals: Shaibu was in a wonderful form for his side guiding them to secure a point at the dreaded Golden City Park. He made some wonderful saves to deny Chelsea from winning the game including saving a penalty. He was voted man of the match, a decision which was applauded by even the vociferous home fans.
2. Philimon Baffour – Dreams FC: The right wing back was very productive to the win of Dreams FC away from home. He guided them to secure a solitary win over Eleven Wonders with a wonderful assist for Sulemana Mohammed. He was a huge threat for the home side with his deadly runs on the flanks.
3. Philip Osei – Medeama SC: For the second time running, Philip made it into the team of the week. He was as amazing as he was in the previous game. He was swift and timely with his tackles and apt with his passes. Accuracy was his other name on the day.
4. Zakaria Fuseini – Chelsea: Zakaria had a wonderful day. Created a barrier at the back with Adams and stopped Liberty’s dangerous attacks. He was great.
5. Mubarik Yusif – AshGold: Another beautiful performance from the center back. He scored the only goal of the day to secure all three points for the visiting AshGold.
6. Prosper Ahiabu – WAFA: Prosper staged a wonderful outing to guide his side to a 2-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs. He won the man of the match of the game.
7. Gladson Awako – Olympics: Awako employed a lot of experience and combined with his beautiful skills to display a great performance against Aduana Stars. He became the toast of all the fans at the stadium and forced applauds from them on several occasions.
8. Sulemana Mohammed – Dreams FC: If Dreams FC had the power to break the unbeaten jinx of Eleven Wonders at their favorite venue in Techiman, Sulemana was the orchestra. His goal, beautifully assisted by Philimon gave the visitors the win. He was a key tormentor of the Eleven Wonders defence.
9. Prince Opoku – Medeama SC: Opoku grabbed a brace on Sunday against an ailing Hearts of Oak side to give Medeama SC a comfortable win. He was unstoppable by the Hearts defenders as he had a field day.
10. Victorien Adebayor – Inter Allies: For Inter Allies to pick their first win in the league, Adebayor had to play above himself. He scored and assisted another. Eventually, he was voted the player of the match.
11. Emmanuel Gyamfi – Kotoko: Gyamfi staged a stupendous performance on Friday to give Kotoko a beautiful 3-1 win over Legon Cities FC. He scored twice for the Reds as they silenced the noisy Royals.
