Edward Nii Odoom admits Hearts of Oak need new signings after their underwhelming start to the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians were condemned to back to back defeats following their humiliating 3-0 loss to Medeama SC in Tarkwa on Sunday.
Hearts lost their opening game to Berekum Chelsea in Accra, a result that led to the sacking of coach Kim Grant.
The board have tried to play down a spending spree in the ongoing transfer window but the interim manager is adamant a few new faces are needed.
“We must beef up the squad. I think the midfield need some additions. We need creative midfielders and box to box midfielders who can fight for the ball for us.”
“I think that goal (first) brought us down. Our boys came back but Medeama were very physical and that worried us. Medeama were more aggressive than us.”
“There is no pressure. The job is not bigger than me, I have coach for 30 years am not new in the game. We need to be organized for our next game. When you lose the ball you must react quickly but we were somehow slow.”
