Accra based Inter Allies recorded their first victory in the ongoing Ghana Premier League after edging out Bechem United in their Match Week 2 encounter.
The ‘Eleven to One’ lads went into the game on the backdrop of a humiliating opening day defeat to Aduana Stars. Certainly they needed a response and their intentions were clearly spelt out in the early stages of the game.
After a spell of dominance in the opening minutes, Inter Allies were rewarded with a goal before the first quarter of the first half.
New boy Kwabena Kyeremanteng fired them into the lead with a thunderous strike inside 10 minutes.
Bechem United after going down reorganised and gathered momentum to push for a leveller. And that equalising goal came just before the half hour mark when Salifu Moro cooly found the net.
After a couple of near misses, Inter Allies shot back ahead when lead marksman Victorien Adebayor opened his season’s account with a classy finish with three minutes to bring the first half to a halt.
The Nigerien import’s goal proved the decider as Inter Allies sailed through unscathed in the second half to register their first win of the season.
For Bechem United, they return home with empty hands and will look to make amends during their next fixture.
