The bid to make football better and an inexpensive sport across the country by the current football leadership took another forward step today with Division 2 clubs being supplied with footballs.
As part of fulfilling earlier promises to help clubs run their affairs more efficiently, the GFA under the leadership of Kurt Okraku has started distribution of footballs to the 48 division one clubs ahead of the commencement of the second-tier league.
Each club is being given 20 balls with a total of 960 balls to be distributed in the course of this exercise.
In a related development, the GFA will also disburse a sum of 1.2 million Ghana cedis to the 48 division one league clubs before their season starts in two weeks’ time.
Each clubs stands to get 25,000 Ghana cedis from this initiative and it will serve as a major financial boost as clubs ready themselves for a busy football period.
