Hearts of Oak are in talks with Tunisian coach Jani Tarek over their vacant head coach role.
The Phobians have reportedly line up the former San Pedro trainer as replacement for Kim Grant who was sacked on Tuesday.
Sources close to the club say negotiations between the management and Mr Terek is at an advanced stage with an agreement expected to be reached in the coming days.
The Tunisian tactician was considered especially after leading San Pedro to eliminate Kumasi Asante from the ongoing CAF Confederation cup.
“I am in communication with Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak to take over the technical leadership of the team,” the France-trained coach confirmed in an interview on Wednesday.
“Negotiations are still going on, of course I would be happy to work with one of the oldest African clubs.”
