FootballMadeInGhana.com can reveal that Asante Kotoko agreed to pay goalkeeper Felix Annan $1200 a month before the player extended his contract for the next three years.
The Porcupine Warriors, on Tuesday, announced that their skipper has extended his contract until 2023 following the expiration of his contract this month.
Annan who is the heartbeat of the Porcupine Warriors and the favourite of the fans requested for a monthly salary of $1200 before extending his contract.
The Reds initially decided not to grant that request but the player insisted he will only extend his stay with the side if they agree to his demands.
Kotoko insiders have revealed to FootballMadeInGhana.com that the club finally kowtowed to the demands of the player hence the extension.
With Anna’s contract extended after the club agreed to his demands, Songne Yacouba is likely to drag the Porcupine Warriors on the same rail as he is left with just three months to be out of contract with the Ghanaian giants.
