Karela United suffered a painful 1-0 defeat to WAFA SC in the opening game of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

The visitors were clearly the better side in the early exchanges but failed to convert their chances as the first half ended goalless.

Forson Amankwah’s strike on the hour mark proved to be the difference between the sides at the Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa.
