The Ghana Football Association on Friday launched the 2019/20 football season with the President of the association making some significant calls.
The event which was graced by the Vice President of the country Dr. Mahmud Bawumia and the Minister of Youth and Sports Isaac Kwame Asiamah, saw the eloquent GFA boss disclose some juicy provisions for clubs across board.

- Top six Premier League clubs to receive financial support from GFA at the end of the season based on their positions.
- Top 3 clubs of the DOL in each Zone will be given cash at the end of the season.
- Top 3 clubs from the two Women’s League Zones to be given cash rewards at the end of the season.
- Coaches of all top six Premier League clubs and the top 3 DOL and Women’s League clubs will be sponsored on attachment to Europe to upgrade themselves.
- Top 10 Center Referees and top 10 Assistant Referees shall also be sponsored to upgrade themselves in Europe
- GFA President Kurt Okraku appealed to Vice President Dr. Bawumia to aid in waiving off 17.5% VAT tax levied on gate proceeds.
- Vice President Dr. Bawumia reveals government will consider the appeal of the GFA President.
- Ghana Premier League to introduce E-Ticketing in upcoming league.
