Ghana winger Frank Acheampong is celebrating another successful Chinese Super League season with Tianjin Teda after finishing as the club’s top assist, powering the club to 7th position on the just-ended league.
The Black Stars winger who completed his second full season with Tianjin Teda was involved in 18 goals, scoring 9 goals and providing 9 assists.
The creative winger lined up in all 30 league games for the club this season and finished as the only player to have achieved that feat.
The team coached by former Switzerland and Ivory Coast manager, Uli Stielike finished 7th, the club’s best performance in more than 5 seasons, thanks to Frank Acheampong’s inspirational performances worthy of player of the season for the club.
Frank Acheampong, a veteran of two Africa Cup of Nations competitions in 2015 and 2017 with the Black Btars and bronze medal winner at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey, was directly involved in 18 league goals for Tianjin Teda throughout the season.
After weaving his way into the hearts of the fans of the club, Acheampong is gradually attaining a legendary status with the side following his sterling outing last season and this season.
