It will be an all-Ghana affair on Sunday afternoon as Nigerian side Enugu Rangers welcome Egyptian side Pyramids FC in the first group game of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
The Ghanaian interest will certainly pop up as Pyramids FC are led by deadly striker John Antwi while Enugu Rangers have former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak goalie Mutawakilu Seidu as their safe pair of hands.
Nana Bonsu will also be on the bench as the second choice goalie for the home side.
Antwi has been on fire since joining Pyramids FC this summer from Misr El Makasa and has been kissing the net with constant rapidity.
The Ghanaian striker has been with the club for less than 4 month but has been a key member, scoring in all competitions for his new side.
Antwi powered Pyramids FC to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup by scoring in their preliminary stages as well as scoring in the Egyptian League and seeing them to the Egyptian Cup semi-final with another strike.
With his scoring prowess and as the current top scoring foreign player in Egypt, Antwi’s presence is a worry for Enugu Rangers who recently sacked their first team coach.
Ghanaian shot stopper Mutawakilu Seidu will definitely have a tough day against his own countryman who is on fire scoring at ease.
For Seidu, he has scooped the first choice spot from another Ghanaian goalkeeper Nana Bonsu and has been in charge of their last seven games.
He had kept a clean sheet in his immediate four games but the last three games have been a worry for him as Enugu Ranger have tasted defeat in all those games forcing the sack of their manager.
The game promises to be electrifying with the Ghanaian interest up for grabs.
Will Mutawakilu be able to save his side or John Antwi will do his magic?
