Ahead of the start of 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, Asante Kotoko sold out an outstanding performance by beating lower tier side Sampdoria FC in a preparation encounter at the Adako Jachie training Park on Saturday.
Kotoko whitewashed the lower tier side 6:0 in the warm-up friendly on Saturday with Emmanuel Gyamfi scoring a hat-trick.
Gyamfi bagged a hat-trick for coach Johnson Smith’ side with Songne Yacouba, Richard Arthur and Daniel Barnieh also appearing on the score sheet for the Porcupine Warriors.
After their elimination from the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup, Kotoko have been training in earnest for the upcoming league season and the friendly was to warm themselves up as they prepare to face Ebusua Dwarfs and Skyy FC in friendly matches next week.
