Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar has completed a switch to Colorado Rapids from Columbus Crew after the two clubs agreed on transfer fee.
Lalas who featured on loan for Colorado Rapids during the second round of the MLS has now made his move permanently.
His parents club Columbus Crew confirmed the transfer on their official website.
Columbus Crew SC today announced that it has acquired $400,000 in 2020 General Allocation Money (GAM) and a 2020 international roster spot via a trade with the Colorado Rapids. In exchange, the Black & Gold traded defender Lalas Abubakar to Colorado.

Abubakar played for Crew SC from 2017-2019 after being selected by the Club in the First Round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. The defender spent the majority of the 2019 season on loan with the Colorado Rapids. In all, Abubakar made 31 regular-season appearances for the Crew, scoring two goals.
