Awal Suleman, the pitch invader during Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, has finally met his idol Thomas Partey.

The 25-year-old former Nalerigu Nursing Training College nursing student ran onto the pitch in a desperate attempt to take a selfie with the Atlético Madrid midfielder.

Suleman was quickly removed as stewards and security raced on to the Cape Coast Stadium turf to apprehend the mischievous Partey fan.

He was arrested and subsequently detained at the University of Cape Coast Stadium.

Upon his release, his dream finally became a reality as Partey arranged to meet him before departing for club duties in Spain.

Not only did he get his picture, Partey also gifted Suleman a signed Black Stars jersey.
