SC Paderborn winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei is set join the Ghana squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe after acquiring his passport.
Adjei who was initially ruled after having difficulties acquiring his Ghanaian passport in time for the game will now join the rest of the squad in Ghana for the two games.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands the debutant is on his way to the West African country after finally receiving his passport.
He will land in Ghana later on Wednesday and head straight to Cape Coast to join the rest of the squad.
It will be the sole decision of the technical team either to use him for the game against South Africa or allow him to rest and prepare for the game against Sao Tome and Principe.
Antwi-Adjei returns means Kwesi Appiah can count on the 23 squad after giving a late call up for Attarmah Laweh to replace Injured Salisu Mohammed.
