Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has urged the current squad to embrace the pressure ahead of Thursday’s 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Africa.

The 29 year old made the remarks during a pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“You don’t play in the national team without pressure…then you don’t know what is ahead of you. A football player is one who wants to get back from setback. We want to do week for our country and we want to qualify from this group” the Swansea City star said.

The four time African champions will host the Bafana Bafafa in their Group C opener at the Cape Coast Stadium.
