Ghana U23 Coach Ibrahim Tanko has the compliment of his full squad ahead of of their U-23 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Cameroon on Friday.
Utrecht attacker Abass Issah was the latest player to arrive in camp on Tuesday evening.
The former Ghana U-17 captain was handed a late call up following the withdrawal of Nashville SC attacker Ropapa Mensah.
“We were expecting Ropapa to join the squad but we were advised by his club side that he had suffered an injury which would require that he sits out for some time before he can return to full action, thus we had to replace him in the squad.
“We are glad that Utrecht finally accepted to release Abass for the tournament “, Ibrahim Tanko said.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side open their campaign against Cameroon on the opening day before facing Egypt and Mali on 11 and 14 November respectively.
Ghana is making its debut appearance at the U-23 AFCON and are poised to seal through to the semis and secure a ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
