Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr Kwame Kyei has called on the fans of the club to be patient after their elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors were bundled out of the competition after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of San Pedro in Abidjan.
A result which ended their hopes of winning an African silverware which has eluded the club since 1983.
This has triggered the fans of the club to attack the Business mogul, with some fans also calling for his resignation from the club.
Speaking on light FM on the reaction of the supporters, Dr Kwame Kyei insisted he has no problem with those insulting him as the more they insult him the greater his blessings.
“I don’t have any problem of soever of other people insulting me, as a leader, you are prone to these stuff. The more people keep insulting you, the greater your blessings abound so let’s forget and focus on what’s ahead.”
“The team belongs to the supporters. Look at the stress they went through to canvass their support for the club at Abidjan, really grateful to them.
“They should exercise patience, nothing has happened! I believe that everything is going to be alright at the right time.” He added
