Ghanaian defender Daniel Darkwah was on the score sheet for Enyimba FC as they beat TS Galaxy 2-1 away in the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs.
The former Asante Kotoko defender broke the deadlock of the game midway in the second half chipping the ball past the hapless goalkeeper.
The Nigerian champions were brimming with confidence coming into the gameĀ after winning the first leg in Aba by 2-0.
Despite dominating the first half, Enyimba FC couldn’t get break the break through.
Enyimba finally got the breakthrough in the 76th minute, substitute Cyril Olisemah found Daniel Darkwah on the edge of the penalty box, Daniel Darkwah chipped the ball over the goalkeeper and gave his side the important away goal.
The visitors put the game beyond the reach of the home team, Martin Usule skipped past two defenders and before burying home the ball at the back of net.
Despite a late consolation from the home side, Enyimba FC won the game 1-2 to advance through to the group stages of the CAF Confederation cup 4-1 on aggregate.
Both Daniel Darkwah and Farouk Mohammed lasted the entire duration of the game.
