Berekum Chelsea General Manager Nana Oduro Sarfo has advised the newly constituted GFA Executive Council to choose a Vice President who can add value to the Association.
Following the election of Kurt Okraku as the President last Friday, the issue of the vacant vice president seat has been a hot topic with Randy Abbey, Mark Addo, Toni Aubynn leading the pack of high-profile names linked to the position.
The previous statutes conferred on the president the power to appoint his vice but with the coming into force of the new statutes, the 12-member committee will have to elect one of them to deputize the President.
The election date has reportedly been set for November 7.
Oduro Sarfo, who is also a member of the GFA Executive Council says he is taking his time to study the CV’s of all the members vying for the position so as to make the right choice.
“We need a Vice President who can add value to the Association
I have started looking at the CV’s of all the EXCO Members vying for the position and I will come out with my preferred candidate by Monday” he told Asempa FM.
“Randy Abbey, George Amoako, Dr.Toni Aubyn and Mark Addo Are my top 4 contestants for the Vice President position”
“I have been lobbied by almost everybody but I’m not in a rush to decide because I want make the right decision”
