Ghana defender Kasim Adams powered Fortuna Düsseldorf to a 2-1 win over Erzebirge AUE in the DfB Pokal in the second round of the competition on Wednesday evening.
The Ghanaian hit the back of the net in the 75th minute to secure his side progressed to the next stage of the competition.
Florian Krüger powered the home side into the lead with a sublime finish just under 12 minutes into the game.
Rouwen Hennings restored parity on the stroke of half time from the spot after Düsseldorf were awarded a penalty.
With fifteen minutes to end proceedings and the game heading for a draw, the Ghanaian international found the back of the net to give his side the important win.
This is Kasim’s second goal for Fortuna Düsseldorf since joining on loan from TSG Hoffenheim.
