Ghana international Edward Sarpong has expressed his delight after been handed second call up to the Black Meteors team ahead of the upcoming U- 23 AFCON in Egypt.
The Esperance de Lagos left back was part of team that won the second leg of qualifiers against Algeria some weeks ago.
Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com on his call up, Sarpong insisted he is ready to give his all for the team, and will go extra mile to help the team win the tournament in Egypt.
“I am delighted to be part of the team again, to represent my country and to defend mother Ghana.
“My colleagues and I will go the extra mile to win this tournament and go on to play in the Olympic games in 2020”.
Sarpong is expected to join the team on Wednesday September 30 as they continue their preparations for the tournament.
The U23 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Egypt from the 8th – 22nd November in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.
