Locking the Ghana Football Association to avoid court injunctions during elections has come to stay as the office is currently locked with bailiffs carrying loads of documents are left behind.
Yao Osini plaintiff from Tema High Court and a policeman have been at the FA premises to serve Dr Kofi Amoah with court injunction but the security refused to open the gate since 7am this morning.
Dr. Kofi Amoah has ordered the security man not to open the gate according to the policeman.
“The Security Officer at the GFA says Dr. Kofi Amoah and Alex Asante are locked in but have instructed him not to unlock the place. They have been there early morning to serve an injunction on the upcoming elections,” he said.
Immediate-past Western Region RFA Chairman, Kojo Yankah was there to perform official duties but was denied entry by the security man.
Nana Kwame Dankwah, an official of Asante Kotoko is believed to have arrived at the venue to file some official documents on behalf of the club but was not allowed entry.
On Tuesday, president Africa XI FC, a Division Three side in Tema was reported to have secured an interlocutory injunction to stop the upcoming elections as well as citing the FA for contempt of court following the Regional Football Association Elections held last week.
The GFA is set to go to the polls to elect Executive Council Members and a new president following the FIFA ban on Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi from all football related activities.
